Traffics laws aren't just for motorists.

Opinions: Arizona survival guide for newbies

SHOPE: Every year, thousands of students new to Arizona come to our fine university.

Affordability, weather, academics, athletics and a multitude of other assets that both the state of Arizona and ASU have to offer draw them here. However, many of our fine new students have never seen a desert before unless they've watched Tombstone or one of the City Slickers movies.

Opinions: Big, bad Wal-Mart mistreats employees

PRICE: Last fall I learned of the evil ways of Wal-Mart when one of my professors showed the movie "The High Cost of Low Price," in class. Ever since, I've been persuaded to boycott Wal-Mart and spread the word of the corporation's wrongdoings.

I haven't gotten very far in my efforts, but now that I have the opportunity to clearly explain why spending a little more money at Target is worth every penny, I hope to change some peoples' ways.

Opinions: Green revolution on campus only part of the story
Flushing twice per bathroom trip, tiny Japanese cars and eight-dollar light bulbs were all, at one time, annoyances us real Americans just didn't put up with. Conservation was just not an issue in the land of the brave and the home of the corpulent.

Exercise for health not looks
