Heads alive
There were no vendors selling vegetarian falafels. Shakedown Street was but a desolate row with a faint murmur of a mid-80's Althea emanating from the stereo of a pickup.

Opinions: A new look for State Press

KOST: It's not often that I get around to writing a letter to our readers.

Generally, I like to let The State Press speak for itself. If there's a major reader concern, I usually address it personally.

Today is different.

As my opinion editor rushed to check our morning e-mail, he came across a letter to the editor wondering why the newspaper design changed somewhat dramatically in March.

Opinions: Some springtime advice for newcomers and freshman

NEFF: The slow roast of springtime is upon us, and that means just one thing: hordes of high schoolers, gawking in wonder as responsible, enthusiastic, and backpedaling tour guides tow them along.

Opinions: Letters to the Editor
Once upon a time, there were a handful of fonts on the front page of The State Press. It looked like a professional, readable university paper.

Pizzeria Bianco: worth the wait after all
With all the hype about Pizzeria Bianco, located at 623 E. Adams Street in Heritage Square, it's easy to understand why the wait for a table is a minimum of two hours, even on a weeknight.

So you can imagine my delight when my boyfriend surprised me for my birthday with a much sought-after table in the corner of this cozy, modern pizzeria.

Best Vegetarian Restaurant: Green Restaurant
Green pretty much says it all. With an all-vegan (no animal products or byproducts), mostly organic menu that includes vegetarian takes on old favorites like meatball subs and pizza, the food isn't going to taste the same way it would at any restaurant.
