As of today, education senior Jessica Dailey will have completed one of her three life goals.

She hasn't climbed Mt. Everest or bungee jumped yet. But tonight at the first ever ASU Academic Bowl, she will check the third goal off her list.

"There is nothing I'd rather do than experience the thrill of competing with others using my brain," Dailey says.

The Academic Bowl is a trivia competition between 16 colleges at ASU. Each college has a four-member team. The first round will be in the Pima Room in the Memorial Union on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.

Dailey, a member of the College of Education team, says her preparation has been a lifelong journey.

"Years of playing Trivial Pursuit, perusing Wikipedia and yelling at the TV during 'Jeopardy' definitely helped," she says. She adds that "many great minds" came to tryout for the College of Education team. "As far as I know, I was the only nerd to show up. That pleases me."

Dailey says she has no doubt that her team will win the $4,500 prize. "I can't wait to see my team's opponents cower under the shadow of our immense brain mass."
