Rape victim files lawsuit against ASU

ASU and members of the Athletic Department are facing their second lawsuit in less than a month.

A civil lawsuit was filed in Maricopa Superior Court March 10 by an ASU female student alleging members of the athletic department had knowledge of former football player Darnel Henderson's history of sexual harassment, but failed to take action before he allegedly raped her.

Phoenix voters approve $184M for ASU

Voters approved $184 million in funding for ASU's downtown Phoenix campus Tuesday.

Proposition 3, which will fund ASU's campus and other education and health facilities, was one of seven bond issues approved by Phoenix voters.

Almost 50,000 votes about 63 percent were cast in favor of Proposition 3, according to unofficial results released by the city Tuesday night.

Arredondo, Ellis win Tempe City Council seats

Incumbent Councilman Ben Arredondo and community activist Shana Ellis won two of three open Tempe City Council seats Tuesday, according to unofficial city results.

Leonard Copple and Onnie Shekerjian will compete for the remaining seat in May.

Breaking News: Basketball coach Rob Evans let go

The ASU athletic department announced Friday that men's basketball coach Rob Evans will not return next season.

The decision came after an hour-long meeting between Evans and ASU Athletic Director Lisa Love, and just two days after the Sun Devils were bounced from the first-round of the Pac-10 Tournament.

Track: Track heads to NCAA Championships

It all comes down to this.

Eight women, two men and one women's relay team will have the chance to lay claim to a national championship and All-American honors as they compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships today and tomorrow.

The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark., will host the event, which will feature the nation's elite competing in 34 events.
