Kristin Crenshaw practices her swing during practice Tuesday at Farrington Stadium. Offense has not been the Devils' strong suit so far this season.
For the ASU softball team, the arms of senior Desiree Serrano and sophomore Katie Burkhart could be what make or break its promising season.

In games against top opponents so far this season, the pitchers on both sides have been the stars.

In ASU's wins against No. 25 North Carolina and No. 19 Auburn at the NFCA Leadoff Classic earlier this season, the Sun Devils went 6-for-53 at the plate while holding their opponents to 7-for-58.
