ART
Friday, Nov. 18
If you giggle when you reading the words "vagina" and "penis," then you might as well quit reading now, because "The Art of Divine Sex" exhibit at the Alwun House, 1204 E. Roosevelt, Phoenix, is too grown up for you. The exhibit, premiering on Friday, Nov. 18, features the work of Yuriko Nishimura and Mukee Okan. The two women delve into what they call "the divine gift of sexuality." The explicit works merge sexuality and spirituality. Nishimura's work includes stone carvings and fountains, while Okan's creations are photographic montages of sacred sites from across the globe. The doors open at 7 p.m. If you're a member of the Alwun House Foundation admission is free, otherwise the gallery asks for a $5 donation.
