Apple's iPod music player gave us a new way to listen to music and now its new podcast program is making it possible to listen to the radio from your iPod.

Podcasts are free, recorded radio shows that are available on Apple's iTunes Music Store or various Web sites such as www.podcast.net and www.podcastalley.com.

From news to sports, comedy to movies, there is a podcast for everyone. With the new podcasts, users can now listen to radio programs whenever they want.

For those on the go, iTunes lets users transfer the podcasts onto their iPod as an alternative to listening to music. The iTunes Music Store offers more than 15,000 podcasts and even lets you publish your own podcasts.
