ASU enrolling students displaced by storm

As the Gulf Coast copes with the crippling effects of Hurricane Katrina, ASU is reaching out to displaced students looking to go back to school.

The storm, which began over the Bahamas on Aug. 24, may be the most destructive hurricane in U.S. history, according to the National Weather Service.

USG campaigns against book prices

ASU's Undergraduate Student Government is fighting rising textbook prices with student groups across the country.

The campaign, started two years ago by the California Public Interest Research Group (CALPRIG), is an effort to lower textbook prices and change the way publishers put out new editions.

New condom dispensers installed across campus

In an effort to promote safer sex, Wellness and Health Promotion recently added 23 condom vending machines to several restrooms on campus.
