ASU offers students file-sharing option

In an effort to thwart illegal downloading by students and provide better entertainment choices, ASU has partnered with Ruckus Network to provide a subscription-based filesharing service.

Ruckus is a music and movie filesharing service geared exclusively to college students.

Abstract sculpture to honor armed forces

It's been called impressive, bizarre and a potential traffic hazard, but the Tempe City Council has given its approval for the new Veterans Memorial at the planned Downtown Transportation Center, set to open in 2007.

The council approved plans for the memorial at the Issue Review Session Thursday, giving the Ad-Hoc Veterans Committee the go-ahead to begin raising funds for the $900,000 project.

ASU grad's immigration status still uncertain

It is 11 a.m. and Luis Nava just rolled out of bed. He's ready to enjoy the better things in life, such as his mom's Mexican food, Arrested Development reruns and watching his 1-year-old sister grow up.

The recent ASU graduate has not been this confident and relaxed since before his battle to avoid deportation to began in the summer of 2002, when Nava was detained at the U.S. - Canadian border during a school trip to New York.

PAYSON, Ariz. - With a crowded backfield in which as many as six running backs could see significant action, Camp Tontozona figured to be a time where one of the ASU football tailbacks could make a significant push to move up the depth chart.

It seems Keegan Herring has done just that.

Optimism surrounds upcoming season

PAYSON, Ariz. - Take a look at the offensive side of the ball for the No. 20 ASU football team, and familiar faces abound.

Derek Hagan, Zach Miller and Rudy Burgess all return from last year's 9-3, Sun Bowl-champion squad. In total, nine of 11 starters are back.

'Virgin' movie mindless good time

No hidden messages, deep meanings, or really anything that requires thought make "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" a good time and full of a lot of laughs.

It doesn't take much to entertain people anymore, and this is one of those movies that is purely for entertainment.
