Crow asks University to help tsunami victims

Four days after a tsunami hit 11 countries and left 162,000 people dead, ASU joined in the developing aid effort to help victims.

ASU President Michael Crow sent an e-mail to students, faculty and staff with donation information for three major aid organizations.

Student group sends aid to Sri Lanka

While many students have joined the effort to help tsunami victims in southern Asia, one ASU club is going beyond collecting donations.

The 20 members of the Sri Lankan Students Association have received $6,000 in donations to build houses and also gathered food, medicine and clothing to ship to the victims.

Popular Mill Ave. cafe to get new 'home'

Meals at Caffe Boa are moving slightly north. The Mediterranean restaurant has been a mainstay of Mill Avenue for 12 years, but is in the process of moving to a new location at Mill Avenue and Fifth Street.

Caffe Boa general manager Casey Minard said the new location, which would replace Bar Louie, would open within two weeks.
