Immigration

Immigration is not a topic you've probably heard much about during this year's presidential election campaign -- at least not from the candidates.
It's not that the candidates lack official positions or that they agree on immigration issues. It's just that, other than Independent candidate Ralph Nader, they'd rather not talk about it.

Tri-school pact to put 'university' online

The Arizona Board of Regents has asked NAU to be the host of a new plan to create an online education package that bundles together the three state universities.

The regents will vote on a new version of the potentially multimillion-dollar plan, tentatively called Arizona Regents' University, at its next meeting.

ASU support group growing

Through an ASU support group, more than 25 facilitators are now trained to advocate for gay rights and social equality.

Last spring, SafeZONE began educating both students and faculty participants. More than six workshops now are offered each semester.

Devils ignore crowd, wear out Ducks

EUGENE, Ore. -- The atmosphere at Autzen Stadium on Saturday was everything it was cracked up to be, at least for a while.

From the moment ASU and Oregon stepped onto the field for pregame introductions, the decibel level reached proportions that may be commonplace for these parts, but were the likes of which the Sun Devils had not heard since the last time they visited Eugene.

Fizzled drives spell doom for Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. -- The rhythm was there Saturday night for the Oregon football team.

It was there during a raucous pregame introduction in which vintage ASU-Oregon highlights (possibly from the early years of the Clinton administration) flashed across the Autzen Stadium Jumbotron.
