Politics, art clash in ASU exhibit

The ASU Art Museum's newest exhibit, "Democracy in America," debuts tonight as the presidential election nears.

The exhibit, which premiers tonight from 5 to 8 p.m., features art pieces that are both new and old and reflect the politics of the present and past.

Marilyn Zeitlin, director of the ASU Art Museum, said she wanted the political issues of today to be contrasted in a historical context.

ASU, fraternities try to mend fences

Three fraternities are coming back to campus after suspensions due to enrollment difficulties and scandals.

Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon and Delta Tau Delta, each members of the Interfraternity Council, are all planning to hold rush for new members in September, according to organization officials.

It's 'Miller Time'

Jaki Miller can remember a time when her two sons, Zach and Brent, would spend "hours and hours and hours" in the backyard jumping on the family's giant trampoline.

The brothers' little sister, Kara, would toss the two boys a football, and they would compete for all they were worth to wrestle the ball away from one another in mid-air.
BASEBALL

Baseball hires two assistant coaches

Coach Pat Murphy completed the ASU baseball team's annual rebuilding process Monday by adding two new faces to the dugout.

Former Sun Devils infielder Tim Esmay and former USC pitcher Jack Krawczyk were hired as assistant coaches, replacing Mike Rooney and Chris Sinacori, both of whom left after last season.
