Parking decreases as campus grows

It takes 26-year-old business student Danny Williams approximately 25 minutes to get to his 12:15 p.m. business law class in the Schwada building, although he lives just three miles southeast of the ASU campus.

Lunch-hour traffic is rampant this time of day, yet itís not the abundance of cars that slows his arrival time, itís the trek from Parking Lot 59.

ASU settles lawsuit with Cardinals

ASU and the Arizona Cardinals settled a $12-million lawsuit this week after almost four years of disputes regarding revenue from signs at Sun Devil Stadium.

Cardinals Vice President and General Counsel Michael Bidwill and ASU President Michael Crow held a press conference Monday to announce the approval of the settlement, and the conditions of a new partnership.

Noe suffers torn knee again

In perphaps the best game of her young career, guard Jill Noe scored 22 points to help ASU beat UA 73-58 on Jan. 23, 2003. Noe will likely miss this season after blowing out her knee for a second time.
For the second consecutive year, the ASU women's basketball team will likely take to the court without who coach Charli Turner Thorne calls "our best player."

Shooting guard Jill Noe, who led the Sun Devils in scoring as a freshman during the 2002-03 season, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee for the second time in eight months and will miss most, if not all, of the upcoming season. The injury occurred while Noe was participating in a basketball camp for high schoolers on June 11. She had surgery to repair the knee on June 21.
